Brent Lokker is the founding and senior pastor of Blazing Fire Church. Like Jesus came to do, Brent’s passion is to make the Father’s transforming love easily accessible and to call out the treasures in people until they believe the truth of who they are in God’s eyes. He longs to see all of God’s sons and daughters empowered by His Spirit to release heaven’s Kingdom culture of love, honor and grace everywhere we go.

Fun Fact: Brent’s most exotic job was training tiger cubs where he learned to exchange affection with them using a chuffing sound. To this day, he can chuff to any tiger at a zoo and immediately get their rapt attention.

Suzanne is a senior pastor and Blazing Fire’s Church Administrator. Her heart is truly to “add to the ministry” by helping to create and cultivate a healing, Presence-laden environment so that anyone who comes into our house will encounter the Lord and experience His transforming Love. She is also an enthusiastic and passionate Cheerleader of our BF Fam and the Body of Christ!

Fun Fact: Suzanne can be instantly in a happy place in a new pair of shoes!

Russ Fochler is an Associate Pastor and elder for Blazing Fire.  He is a “Family Pastor” and generally is the one who responds to calls to the church phone.  Russ loves watching Jesus heal and set people free physically, emotionally, and spiritually.

Fun Fact: Russ is drawn to being in nature, especially with his wife Susan.   And enjoying time with his granddaughters. He loves “The Lord of the Rings” trilogy, “It’s a Wonderful Life”, and “The Shack”

Susan Fochler is one of the Associate Pastors and an elder at Blazing Fire.  She oversees the Heart Trek inner healing ministry and deeply desires to help people heal physically, emotionally and spiritually and come fully alive as they learn to live from the core of their being.  She helps with teaching and preaching as well as leading a team to an annual outreach to the New Age community.

Fun Fact:  In her spare time you’ll find Susan hiking up on a mountain somewhere, rain or shine. She also adores hanging out with her two adorable grandkids.

Karena is our Community Outreach pastor. She is also a member of the elder team and pastoral staff. She and Todd lead Refuge Tri-Valley, a ministry for youth and young adults. Karena is passionate about seeing God move in the areas of human trafficking, foster care and community transformation. She believes the church carries solutions to many problems the world is facing and it all begins with extending love, service and empathy.

Fun Fact: Karena feels most alive in nature, loves rooting for the SF Giants and finding new coffee shops. She and Todd have two young adult kids, Josiah and Sierra. 

A Favorite Scripture: “My grace is always more than enough for you, and my power finds its full expression through your weakness. So I will celebrate my weaknesses, for when I’m weak, I sense more deeply the mighty power of Christ living in me.” 2 Corin. 12:9 (TPT)

Todd oversees our worship community and youth ministry. He has had a true passion for genuine, deep worship of God since he was a kid, listening to Keith Green and spending time with Holy Spirit in his room. He’s also very passionate about understanding the younger generation and helping them see themselves how God sees them.

This guy loves photography, exploring, gardening, creating, movies, coffee and time with family.

A Favorite Scripture: Psalm 41:1 - “My heart is on fire, boiling over with passion. Bubbling up within me are these beautiful lyrics as a lovely poem to be sung for the King. Like a river bursting its banks, I’m overflowing with words, spilling out into this sacred story.’ “

Katie oversees our Children’s Ministry. Teaching has always been her passion, especially when it’s about Jesus! One thing she’s learned about children’s ministry is that kids will teach you as much as you teach them. Mark 10:15 says, “we are called to have child-like faith” which Katie often finds herself tapping into while spending time with the children. She believes every child has infinite value. As much as she loves creating a fun environment for the children, it is equally matched with rich encounters with Jesus.

Fun Fact: Katie has been skiing since she was four years old. AND, she has a pet corn snake.

Joel & Aleta serve as the Overseers for Blazing Fire International (BFI) and Joel also serves as the Missions Pastor for Blazing Fire Church. BFI is the missions and marketplace ministry of Blazing Fire Church in Dublin, California with a mission-Ekklesia call to serve the global community through empowering and raising up key influencers in all spheres of society through church planting, Ekklesia hubs, ministry and marketplace training and regional leader networks.

Fun Facts: Joel currently attends Global Grace Seminary and is a lover of Philz Coffee, History, Patristics, Trinitarian Theology, Illuminated Globes & Small Batch Ice Cream. Aleta enjoys spending time with family and friends, doing jigsaw puzzles, Crème brûlée, spending time at the ocean and Sunday Dinners. Joel & Aleta have been married since 2002 and are the proud parents of their three beautiful daughters: Isabella, Francesca and Vittoria.

Bill oversees our Prophetic Ministry at Blazing Fire. He does prophetic training and ministry with his team and also preaches throughout the year. He is a Bay Area native and lives in San Rafael. Bill has been in ministry and a pastor since 1978 functioning in healing, counseling, prophetic and executive administrative roles at Open Door Church in San Rafael and the SF Vineyard/Promised Land Fellowship. He is currently also a website developer and graphic designer.

Fun Fact: Bill is an avid fan of science fiction and is writing a book on an interstellar diaspora hurled across galaxies by supernovas and wormholes titled “The Breath of God”.
